TV-Rails / High Performance Compensated Telecaster® Bridge Saddles

The "TV-Rail Saddles" are the result of careful testing and analysis and they are representing the ultimate solution when it comes to combining true vintage tone, look and feel with the highest standards of functionality and reliability. The perfectly compensated KMS „TV-Rails“ are dramatically increasing intonation and tuning stability on your guitar.

The bare, uncoated "TV-Rail" Saddles guarantee an exact and pure "string to saddle" connection – the result is nothing but rich, saturated tone . The special designed V-grooves just have the right fitting for all string gauges. All strings naturally have a perfect, safe and tight contact surface to the saddles and create a perfect fusion to the bridge and hence to the guitar body.

Every saddle comes with a unique coupled spring set for tight, rocksolid settings – no rattling and wobbling anymore! Every spring can be used separately as well – just try out what fits best for your purposes.

You want to play a set of strings with a wound G-string? No problem! Just turn the middle saddle once around the longitudinal axis and go for it.

To shape your tone in an even more specific direction, every "TV-Rails Set" comes with additional string saddles made of Brass and Steel.

Our tip to try: Steel at E/A, Aluminum at D/G and Brass at your B and e string

Sound characteristics of TV-Rail Saddles material

ALUMINUM provides an airy, piano-like sounding, very resonant tone. Ideal for your middle(D/G) position or the lower E/A strings. It´s also great when it comes to clean sounds!

Compared to brass it:

  • has a dry, but brighter tone with more bite
  • decreases mids, increases heights
  • increases string separation
  • reacts faster and has lots of „twang“

BRASS provides an overall harmonic and well balanced tone. The perfect mach for your B/e strings but works fine overall.

  • balanced, warm tone
  • pleasant, rich harmonics
  • softens treble strings by cutting shrillness
  • can potentially cause dull sounding thicker E and A strings
  • less „twang“ than aluminum or steel saddles

STEEL provides a very focused „cutting through“ tone with lots of shimmering heights. The perfect material for the lower strings E and A.

Compared to brass it:

  • has the brightest tone of the three
  • emphases the heights
  • has a sharp and snappy attack
  • increases string separation
  • has twangier tone with more sparkling harmonics
