TV-Rail+ — Low-Friction Compensated Tele-Style Saddles
TV-Rail+® takes the compensated TV-Rail architecture and adds an application-specific low-friction hard coating to three brass saddles. It is designed for Tele-style three-saddle systems where the strings move repeatedly across the saddle contacts — especially Bigsby-style vibrato applications.
Instead of relying on bridge movement, the string can glide across the finished V-shaped contact while the compensated geometry preserves the E/A, D/G and B/e paired-saddle layout.
Why choose TV-Rail+
- 3 coated brass saddles · one for each E/A, D/G and B/e string pair
- Low-friction hard surface for smooth moving-string contact
- Increased saddle-surface wear resistance compared with bare brass
- Machined offset contact points improve paired-string intonation
- Finished V-shaped contacts provide defined string centering
- Plain/wound G and right-/left-handed configuration supported by saddle orientation
Sound & response
- Rich, lively brass-based response
- Balanced harmonic character
- Clear string separation with a controlled moving-string interface
Current hardware
- Intonation screws: Brass · 6-32 UNC · Phillips + full-width slot combination head · nickel-plated or bare as selected
- Saddle-height screws: Nickel-plated carbon steel · 6-32 UNC · rounded tips
- Dual springs: 6 mm outer compression spring + 4.5 mm inner stabilizing spring per saddle; usable coupled or separately where setup requires
- String spacing: 54 mm overall E-to-e · 10.8 mm individual
Compatibility
TV-Rail+ requires a compatible three-saddle T-style bridge plate with suitable 6-32 intonation hardware geometry, saddle-height range, string path and 54 mm overall spacing. For vibrato use, return to pitch also depends on the complete string path, including nut, string trees, tuners and vibrato setup.
The coated V contacts are finished geometry and should not be filed, widened or polished.
