FlowTrem2 BK/BK (6-string)
FlowTrem2 BK — 6-string
FlowTrem2 is a complete high-performance double-locking tremolo built around a Grade 5 titanium structure. Its baseplate, saddles, saddle mounts, fine-tuner components, locking hardware and MONOLITH block are Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5).
Core architecture
- Grade 5 titanium throughout the tremolo structure
- Gauge-dependent V-saddle support: thinner strings sit deeper, thicker strings sit higher
- Blind string-locating recess beneath each locking insert
- 2 mm greater usable rearward intonation range than the conventional Floyd Rose-style reference geometry
- Increased fine-tuner travel through redesigned saddle geometry
- Fine-tuner architecture without the conventional permanent Fine Tuner Tension Plate
Function-specific materials
The springs and OmniPort base are stainless steel. The package includes two 6 mm FlowBars — one titanium and one stainless steel — plus a titanium Spring Claw.
Tone & response
Designed for fast attack, clearly separated transients, tight low frequencies and direct dynamic response. The result comes from the complete mechanical system: material, mass, contact geometry, MONOLITH block, guitar construction and setup.
MONOLITH
The selected MONOLITH block (30, 32, 35, 37 or 42 mm) is installed without a spacer. A 2 mm Grade 5 titanium Height Spacer is supplied separately for optional height adjustment. A Spring Retainer is included except with the 42 mm block.
OmniPort & FlowBars
OmniPort accepts the matched 6 mm KMS FlowBars with defined click engagement and adjustable rotational resistance. Two O-rings control fit and play. Compatible Floyd Rose and Schaller-style 6 mm collar arms can also be used with their own collar adjustment.
Finish
Carbon Black PVD. The MONOLITH block and Spring Retainer remain sanded natural titanium in all versions.
Compatibility
FlowTrem2 follows the established Floyd Rose Original-style 6-string mounting footprint and installs as a direct replacement where that architecture is already present. Final fit still depends on pivot relationship, cavity geometry and block clearance.
Technical specifications
- System: double-locking floating tremolo, 6-string.
- Main construction: Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5 titanium) baseplate, saddles, saddle mounts, fine-tuner components, locking hardware and MONOLITH block.
- Saddles: gauge-dependent V-shaped string support with a blind string-locating recess beneath the locking insert.
- Usable rearward intonation range: 2 mm greater than the conventional Floyd Rose-style reference geometry.
- Fine-tuner travel: increased; the usable range depends on saddle height and intonation position.
- Baseplate rear section: 50°; bend line positioned 2 mm farther rearward than the conventional reference.
- MONOLITH block-body heights: 30, 32, 35, 37 or 42 mm. Each is a separate block size; the selected block is installed without a spacer.
- Height Spacer: 2 mm, Grade 5 titanium, supplied separately for optional height adjustment.
- OmniPort arm interface: 6 mm FlowBar shaft; nominal 9 mm baseplate opening; stainless-steel socket base.
- FlowBar retention: spring-clip click engagement, two O-rings and an adjustment cap for rotational resistance and retention.
- Mounting hardware: studs with press-fit bushings or one-piece wood studs, according to the selected option.
